Modern Slavery Statement

Fuel Learning Modern Slavery Statement March 2025

As a leading training provider and management consultancy, we recognise our responsibility to Model Slavery and Human Trafficking and actively promote the fair treatment of all employees and the existence of responsible and ethical leadership at every level of industry. Fuel Learning is committed to upholding and endorsing the Modern Slavery Act 2015 We take a zero-tolerance approach and act accordingly in all of our activities, engagements and relationships.

We do not condone, support or contribute to activity that directly or indirectly drives or contributes to Modern Slavery within our own business or supply chain.

As part of our commitment to eradicating Modern Slavery, we:

  • Ensure Modern Slavery does not exist within our business and perform due diligence to ensure it does not occur in any aspect of our supply chain. Our supply chain includes but is not limited to external specialist organisations and consultancy services, IT services, publishing, printing and marketing services, and conference and venue suppliers. The scope of our business is largely within the UK and we do not consider our operational activity or supply chain as ‘high risk’ in relation to Modern Slavery.
  • Do not work with any organisations implicated or involved with activity associated with Modern Slavery.
  • Respect human rights and act ethically and with integrity in all of our business activity.
  • Raise awareness of Modern Slavery and have appropriate processes in place to report concerns or suspected Modern Slavery practices.

We employ a number of mechanisms and processes to ensure our employees, learners and clients are not abused, coerced or otherwise engaged with Modern Slavery. This includes:

  • Having an appointed Safeguarding and Prevent Lead within the business.
  • Having a procurement process which requires all suppliers to comply with the Modern Slavery Act 2015. We also expect all of our clients to publicly demonstrate a zero-tolerance approach to Modern Slavery and align with our own ethical standards.
  • Embedding relevant policies within our business to ensure our colleagues are aware of and vigilant against bribery and corruption. Associated policies include H&S and Safeguarding, Employee Code of Conduct, Whistleblowing and Corporate Social Responsibility/Social Value.
  • Providing ongoing training and development around all areas of Safeguarding including but not limited to Modern Slavery – raising awareness and ensuring colleagues are able to understand, identify and appropriately report any concerns they have or are shared with them in their professional capacity.
  • Providing guidance for learners and our customer organisations on how to avoid Modern Slavery in their workplace and supply chains, information about Modern Slavery prevention obligations within their roles and signposting to appropriate authorities. This information is regularly reviewed and updated alongside regular upskilling and standardisation exercises in our teams.

Conclusion

Our Modern Slavery statement and associated policies apply to all Fuel Learning employees. We expect every member of our team, whether permanent or fixed term, to adhere to, cooperate with and support our values, vision and approach to Modern Slavery in all operations and activity. This statement is made in accordance with the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and reviewed regularly. It has been approved by our Board and signed on behalf of the whole business and all stakeholders.

Testimonials

The course was tailored to EMT and the trainer had great knowledge of the business. I have attended several leadership courses and this was by far the best as it was very genuine and the trainer had a real passion and flair for getting the candidates engaged and see what the benefits are to EMT and their personal leadership style. Excellent.
