Level 5 Leadership & Management Apprenticeship

Level 5 apprenticeships

This apprenticeship is fully interactive (no death by PowerPoint). This approach makes the programme a relevant, applicable, tool-based, blended learning experience that will enhance personal, team, operational and organisational performance.

APPRENTICESHIP TIMELINE

Level 5 Leadership & Management
Level 5 Leadership and Management

During that time participants will attend and receive...

During 2 day workshops designed and facilitated by our experienced in-house team, participants will develop new skills, tools and behaviours that they can immediately put to effective use in the workplace.

We will provide a safe, open and relaxed environment for each participant to practice and interact with colleagues, to help to maximise their potential as managers and leaders.

In the gap between our 2 day workshops, participants will need to make use of our ‘Fuel Hub’. Designed to provide quick and easy access to a wealth of learning materials, each level 5 participants will expand their knowledge and understanding of leadership and management - through a series of online learning modules.

If extra support is required, participants can attend additional support days. These learner days are primarily to help participants to complete workplace application tasks at the required standards. As the title suggests, these days are not compulsory, but can be used to help anyone who requires additional support.

An added benefit of our level 5 leadership and management apprenticeship, is that learners will be able to contact their facilitators and the Fuel quality team throughout the programme. This can be via arranged online meetings, email, phone, whichever works best for you. We’re available to help when you need it.

As well as with the support provided by the Fuel team, participants will also receive support from their Line Manager. This helps to ensure that participants are able to stay on track and have the opportunity to develop their skills in the workplace.

This is achieved with a phone call usually every 12 weeks, with participants and their line manager, together with the Fuel team.

The final stage of the level 5 apprenticeship is an End Point Assessment (EPA). This is a culmination of the new skills and tools learned by participants and the work they have put into the apprenticeship programme. Once the End Point Assessment has been successfully completed, participants will receive a nationally recognised level 5 certificate.

PERSONAL BENEFITS

LEVEL 5 LEADERSHIP & MANAGEMENT WORKSHOPS OVERVIEW

Each of our face to face workshop modules have been designed to engage participants throughout the day, creating an enjoyable and fully interactive learning environment. Each full day is split into 4 mini sections, with a full review and action plan at the end of each session.

These mini sessions or ‘bite-sized’ sessions help learners to more easily engage with the learning materials and take in information, while regular reviews and summaries help participants to apply what they have learned in the workplace.

If these sessions are taking place on-location, we recommend participants bring their own laptops. However, we can provide laptops when necessary.

Testimonials

As part of my management training programme I had to complete Functional Skills in English and maths. I felt anxious and nervous as I hadn’t been in a learning environment for many years. However, my teacher (Vicky) was very understanding and patient, she understood my concerns. I can honestly say I have grown in confidence and I found the classes to be very practical and useful.

I had great encouragement and support from my teacher throughout the whole process. Without the support from my teacher and the Functional skills qualification, I would have struggled to complete the apprenticeship.

From what I learnt from my course, I have implemented this into my daily working practice. I have learnt so many great English and maths techniques which are extremely useful. I'm very confident when sending emails with my grammar and punctuation. I have become a confident reader whereas in the past I did not enjoy this. I have to work out various areas for our customers when pricing jobs. I used to really struggle with this aspect of my job, with the additional support from Vicky I no longer struggle.
